How to play Scorpion Solitaire

Use a short break to learn the rhythm of Scorpion Solitaire. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Look at what changes after your first action. Keep the instructions close while learning this activity. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.

A useful comparison

Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Make the next step deliberately.

Your goal

Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Start with a deliberate move.

Step by step

  1. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Use one clear input at a time.

A useful example

The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Notice the change in the playing area.

Watch out for this

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Compare the situation with the worked example. Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use.
